Newell Brands brought employees together across the globe for Cybersecurity Awareness Week, October 5–9, 2026, with a series of engaging events and educational sessions focused on strengthening cybersecurity awareness and promoting a culture of shared responsibility.
Hosted by Newell's Global Information Security team, the week featured a mix of virtual and in-person activities designed to help employees better understand emerging cyber threats, protect sensitive information and build safer digital habits at work and beyond.
This year's programming placed a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, reflecting its growing role across the business. Sessions explored Newell's AI Security Principles, AI governance and the importance of using emerging technologies safely and responsibly while protecting company data.
Throughout the week, employees had opportunities to engage with cybersecurity topics through interactive learning experiences, including:

Additional sessions addressed social engineering, identity and access management, and practical ways to recognize potential threats, while celebrating employees who help strengthen Newell's security culture through proactive reporting.
Cybersecurity Awareness Week reinforced the importance of collaboration across the organization and the role every employee plays in protecting Newell's people, information and operations. By building awareness and encouraging employees to stay informed, Newell continues to strengthen its approach to cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world.
The week's theme, "Think Secure. Stay Curious. Be the Difference," serves as a reminder that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility that extends well beyond a single week.
